We Don’t Sell Coffee Beans

We Sell Emotions

From Hannover’s Maschsee with zero bookings to major festival stages and automotive events: Hatem Fakih has built a nationwide in-demand event coffee concept from a single idea. What drives him? Passion, precision—and the belief that coffee is not just a drink, but an experience. We spoke with the managing director of Fogarolli in Hanover about quality, vision, and the perfect flat white.

What makes a truly great coffee—and how do you achieve that quality on a mobile bar?

A truly great coffee starts with the bean—but it doesn’t end there. We work exclusively with our own 100% Arabica beans, which we roast ourselves. That gives us full control over quality and flavor. But in the end, it’s the person behind the machine who makes the difference. The barista is the most important factor: mindset, precision, grind size, timing—every detail matters. Coffee is not a coincidence. It’s a craft. At our mobile bars, we combine speed with the highest level of quality. We are among the fastest providers on the market, with very short waiting times—without compromising on taste. Because my philosophy is clear: we don’t just sell coffee, we create emotions. And customers can feel that passion with every sip.

What’s your personal favorite coffee specialty?

Without a doubt: Flat White. Two strong espresso shots combined with finely textured milk. For me, it’s the perfect balance of intensity and creaminess. Strong, yet harmonious—exactly my style.

Is there a dream or goal you still want to achieve?

Originally, my dream was to open my own café—a fixed place, a home for my idea. But I realized that my passion needs movement. Today, I travel across Germany for events—from corporate functions to festivals like the Hurricane Festival. I love this dynamic, this energy when people come together to experience special moments. That’s exactly where I want to be. And that’s exactly where great coffee belongs.

How did you become a barista—and what fascinates you about mobile coffee culture?

My journey started in November 2021—with almost no experience, but a clear passion for coffee and events. The first months were tough. No bookings, lots of doubts. I spent almost every day at the Maschsee in Hanover, going from company to company, introducing myself, building connections, simply showing presence. That time taught me one thing: visibility and persistence are everything. After three to four months, the first bookings came in. My name started to spread. The inspiration originally came from a trip to Italy. That’s where I experienced how coffee is celebrated—with respect, culture, and true appreciation. In that moment, I knew: I want to do this too—but in my own way.

Today, Hatem Fakih works with renowned companies such as Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW. But for him, it’s not about the big names—it’s about the honest feedback afterward.

What once started with zero experience has become a nationwide sought-after event coffee concept. And the most important ingredient was never just the bean—it was always the vision behind it.
